We provided economic appraisal advice to the Crewe Town Board for its £23 million Towns Fund programme, which focuses on town centre regeneration, culture and heritage, community spaces and connected places.
Our team reviewed 10 project business cases against the HM Treasury Green Book and other relevant guidance, advising on their suitability to progress.
Testing the proposals’ value for money and highlighting key issues and delivery risks, we ensured that the Town Board was able to make informed decisions. Where potential pitfalls were identified, we worked constructively with project leads to agree appropriate ways forward.
Our recommendations informed summary submissions to the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. We have also provided similar support in Preston, Nelson and Margate.
