GC Insight delivered a comprehensive review of the Great South West's business ecosystem. Over 160,000 businesses were analysed to provide insights into the health of the business base, its strengths, and recommendations to unlock future growth.

Our Role:​

GC Insight delivered the project for the Great South West, working in collaboration with Tech South West. Through the project:

• we mapped out businesses across the region using a wide variety of datasets and considering business health, future growth potential and regional/local trends

• we developed a robust methodology for tracking high growth businesses, and produced a High Growth Business Tracker which showcases 100 businesses whose signals demonstrate the greatest potential for growth across the region.

• our team engaged widely with local stakeholders to present the analysis and develop a set of business support focused recommendations.

Outcome:

The project was successfully completed, with each of the reports published on the Great South West website here. The insights developed through the project highlighted priorities critical to strengthening the region’s business environment over the coming years and will support local leaders to focus connections and resources to deliver on these priorities and build on the region's existing significant strengths.
