GC Insight successfully delivered an Industrial Workforce Plan for the Great South West, aligning workforce development requirements with the region’s major investment projects and key sectors. The plan identified both shared and sector-specific skills needs, proposed targeted interventions, and mapped out critical paths to meet workforce demands. It also outlined how regional collaboration, supported by key partners, could drive the delivery of these workforce solutions. 

Our Role:​

GC Insight worked with Avison Young and Ben Odams to develop the plan. Key tasks included: 

• mapping the region’s skills supply in key sectors

• reviewing major investment opportunities for the region and expected job demands in key sectors  

• extensive consultations with stakeholders including local and national government bodies, industry representatives and the education sector
