CASE STUDY
Client: Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority
CPCA Gateway Review Support

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) receive £20 million Gainshare funding per year from central government through a Devolution deal signed in 2017. A Gateway Review is required every 5 years, in which CPCA is required to submit evidence of the progress and impacts of interventions funded by the Combined Authority on local economic growth.

Our Role:

Through the project, we:

  • Developed a Local Evaluation Framework to set out the approach to evaluating performance.
  • Prepared the evidence required for the mid-term report stage, considering the progress and impacts of projects to date.
  • Prepared evidence for the final report stage, including undertaking evaluations of five key interventions, compiling progress updates across all projects, and providing evidence of the authority’s achievements regarding capacity development and partnership working.

Outcome:

A final report has been prepared that sets out the impact of CPCA’s projects over the most recent Gateway Review period to inform ongoing devolution discussions with central government.
